DETAILS 925 Sterling Silver 18k Gold Vermeil Opal Sold as a or Pair GOLD VERMEIL Gold vermeil is a technique where gold is applied to sterling silver. Gold vermeil uses the same plating technique to standard plating but has a thicker layer of gold, the plating is required to be 2.5 microns thick. This is 5 times thicker than normal gold plating therefore making it far more long-lasting and durable than gold plating. Gold Sister's plating is 18K gold.
